Rio Delphinium

Rio delphinium is truly unique, thanks to its exceptionally long vase life and minimal shedding, achieved through a special postharvest process we use. Rio specializes in growing Sea Waltz in dark blue and light blue, as well as hybrid delphinium in white, lavender, light blue, dark blue, and spray blue delphinium. The gorgeous blooms encircle the sturdy stem, creating the appearance of a soft floral spike. When viewed from the side, the blossoms are said to resemble a dolphin, hence the name “delphin,” derived from the Greek word for dolphin.

Rio is proud to be one of the largest growers of delphinium in Ecuador. Our delphinium is greenhouse-grown for super quality.

Grading Sea Waltz Delphinium

• 5-stem bunches
• Grade selection: 60/70/80 cm
  (16 bunches per QB/80 stems), and 90 cm
  (12 bunches per QB/60 stems)
• Vase life: 10–12 days
