After all, flowers are an ideal way for your customers to show their love and appreciation to their grandparents (or their kids’ grandparents!). Following are a few simple ways to promote and sell flowers for Grandparents Day.

1. Promote on Social Media NOW

Even if you haven’t even begun to figure out your arrangements or promotions, get the word out on social media as quickly as possible. Let your followers know that Grandparents Day is coming up fast and that they need to get their flowers before time runs out! You can also send a quick, simple email to your list, telling them to contact your shop for all the details.

2. Create Grandparents Day Arrangements

Now that you’ve got the word out, it’s time to design a few arrangements that would be perfect for grandparents. Create a few different arrangements at different price points, then get them photographed and up on your website. And don’t forget to share them on social media with links to the web page!

3. Offer Free Delivery

Since many people live far from their grandparents, this is an excellent opportunity for you to promote that you provide free delivery to certain areas. Post this on your social media feeds with a listing of where you will deliver for free. And make sure you note that it’s only valid for the weekend of Grandparents Day.

4. Run a Contest on Social Media

Ask your followers to tell you what they love most about their grandparents or to share a favorite memory, then offer to create a unique arrangement for the winner. You can either choose the winner yourself or create a poll on social media. And don’t forget to share plenty of photos and videos. You can show the arrangement being made, pictures of the winners, and of course, the happy faces of the grandparents receiving their beautiful flowers!

5. Keep Grandparents Day Going!

Grandparents Day is only one day, but the love your customers have for their grandparents is forever. So, keep that grandparent love going all month long. Send an email with a discount coupon that customers can use any day in September to send flowers to their grandparents “just because.”
